Under rated music
First off, Simple Minds:
First time I ever heard of this scottish band was on "The Breakfast Club's" closing credits. A song called "don't you forget about me" was playing as Judd Nelson ends the movie. I really recommend this song, along with "Waterfront" and "alive and kicking."
Duran Duran was a very famous band. They were video pioneers that made fun of themselves in their videos. But the band broke up and had to change their members a number of times. Over the years, that just unwinded their fan base. Now the band got back together, and they're producing the same quality of music.
Nazareth gets the award for most under rated band. Their first album was in 1971, with two very nice songs, "Red Light Lady" and "The King is dead."
The Dandy Warhols is a band from Portland, Oregon that gained popularity in Europe. They got into the main stream because of the song "Bohemian like you" that was used in lots of advertisements and movies... but they have lots of other nice songs like "We used to be friends," "you were the last high," and they even sang about prophet mohammed.
