So I got home after they let us out.. we're too sad to work after Sheikh Jaber of Kuwait died, may he rest in peace. I got home around late afternoon and I switched on the TV. There was this big Texan, that looks like a bald Saddam Hussain, calling himself Dr. Phil.
The reason I dislike this Colonel/Psychologist is because he had a family that suffered a pedophile predator attack on their 15 year old daughter... now how the fuck is getting a family, that has suffered enough already, being exploited considered daytime entertainment?! He puts on this serious tone and emphazises the syllabuls like a true healer.. but as soon as the show ends it says in the little fine print "FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY" and "ADVICE GIVEN HERE IS NOT" bla bla bla...
This shit crossed cultures even! Its so popular in the States, where its made, that they air it with captions here! And believe you me, next year.. we will have an Arabic Dr. Phil.. maybe Dr. Fadi or something because these stations can't come up with their own worthless crap.. they rip it off.
Right after the doc waved goodbye to the family he just exploited.. they ran an ad for a show "Joe Millionaire part 2." The premise of this show is to fly in more than a dozen European young ladies.. put them under the impression that an extremely unbearable gentleman is worth 20 million dollars when in reality he has 20 dollars in his account... and the audience gets to watch them battle out their way to what is safe to call bottom of the human barrel.
Why is entertainment so extreme these days? There's a show about ugly ladies getting make overs.. the audience is taken through all these labotomies and face lifts..
I remember back when MTV used to play music.. we enjoyed "full house" back then... why did entertainment get so edgy lately?
